Sean McMonagle is from the working part of Philadelphia. Born in 1984 in Irish dominated Mayfair Sean has since worked from that corner to the shadiest of south philly and from rittenhouse to the Geighborhood. In 2008, at a very familiar bar, locust rondevous, Sean and a couple of co-cooks on the hotline of the 19th floor in the Belvue hotel, began ‘another effn Bee thing 🐝. This has since been a huge part of many successful Philly and nearby suburban restaurants. The most recent project from this group is S.O.T.E. or Salt of the Earth, a well traveled craft table salt. It’s there artisanal take on the all to common boring white table salt and will soon be seen on your favorite chef driven restaurants!
