German born chef Sven Garrett has a
5-year degree in Hotel Management & Culinary Arts from Hannover/Germany.
He worked in high-end restaurants and hotels in Germany before heading to West Palm Beach, FL where he worked at Frenchman’s Creek Country Club for 2 years. After that he transferred to South Beach, Miami and became the executive pastry chef at the Delano Hotel.
In 2003 he left Florida and moved to LA.
Starting out in the busy catering world of Los Angeles Sven soon built a clientele to be a private chef.
He was the banquet manager at the hotel Angeleno in Brentwood/CA for 9 years.
For the past 5 years Sven has been the head chef at Kappa Kappa Gamma/USC. During that time he produced a children’s cooking show “Willy’s Kitchen” for the web.
He still works as a private chef and is also putting together a cook book.
